A pujari is a person who offers worship to the Lord in His Deity forms. The Lord is completely spiritual. We cannot see Him because we have material eyes. Out of love He appears as the Deity to accept loving offerings from His devotees. Pujaris rise early in the morning to offer worship, dress and bathe the Deities. During the day they perform worship at specific times and present devotee's offerings to the Lord. Pankajanghri Prabhu is the head pujari for Lord Nrsimhadev. Only pujaris are allowed to enter the altar area, or Deity room.
